New High Vibe Products from doTERRA

Did somebody say New Products?!!!!???!!

I can already hear my cells singing at the very thought of these new high vibe products from doTERRA. At this year's Dream Convention, doTERRA really did not disappoint. Not only did they have Hugh Jackman as their keynote speaker and performer (and yep, bloody loves doTERRA oils and has diffuser next to his bed) and release a stack of new research and information... but they also released 15 brand spankin' new products to join their already amazing range.

Here's the low down...

With a much higher level of the constituent linalool than Lavender, Magnolia essential oil is one you're going to want to try for sleep, stress, and restfulness. If you're a Lavender fan, give Magnolia oil a try.

Amazing for the skin, I'll be using Magnolia Touch under my eyes and on my neck and any place that's showing signs of ageing. I'll be alternating Magnolia with my other florals also great for skin, Jasmine, Rose, Salubelle blend.

A few other uses & benefits of Magnolia:

- Soothes anxious feeling and uplifts mood

- Supports female cycles and balance

- Supports feelings of anger, rage, panic or grief

- Supports respiratory, sinus and lymphatic health

- Promotes healthy libido and sexual organs

- Promotes glowing skin

More info on Magnolia here

Similar in aroma to Black Pepper but with more depth and little more softness. I'll be using Pink Pepper essential oil like I use Frankincense for maintaining overall cellular health. The main constituents in Pink Pepper are limonene and alpha-phellandrene, which support calming of the nervous system. Limonene may also support healthy blood sugar and cholesterol levels.

A few other uses & benefits of Pink Pepper:

- Use in cooking in place of Black Pepper or add a drop to your chai

- Add a drop to your water to support a healthy metabolism

- Supports lymphatic cleansing & candida issues

- Promotes a healthy digestive system

- Diffuse or inhale directly to promote feelings of alertness

- Massage sore or achy spots with diluted Pink Pepper (combine with Frankincense & Copaiba)

- Women's monthly support. Apply to areas of discomfort or related reflexology points. Great with marjoram and geranium.

- Respiratory support

- Supports circulatory health

all our anti-inflammatory supporting dreams have come true! doTERRA now have Turmeric essential oil! I'm ecstatic about this one.

According to Dr Axe, Turmeric has "at least 20 molecules that are antibiotic, 14 that are known cancer preventatives, 12 that are anti-tumor, 12 that are anti-inflammatory, and there are at least 10 different antioxidants in Turmeric."

If you follow Ayurvedic medicine, Turmeric supports the imbalance of Kapha body types.

A few other uses & benefits of Turmeric essential oil:

- Supports cellular and immune health

- Supports joint discomfort

- Supports healthy blood supply

- Eliminates parasites (according to Dr Axe Turmeric is anti-parasitic and anti-worm)

- Soothes tension and anxious feelings

- Use in a DIY turmeric face mask for glowing skin!

Read more about Turmeric essential oil here.

As with all the citruses, green mandarin essential oil is mood uplifting, energising, yet soothes anxious feelings. The best part is that there's no problem with photosensitivity with this oil as with other citruses, so you don't have to worry about sun exposure after applying green mandarin topically.

I'll be adding a drop of green Mandarin to my warm water of a morning now as an alternative to my other faves high in limonene; grapefruit, wild orange, lemon, lime, bergamot, and tangerine.

A few other uses & benefits of Green Mandarin essential oil:

- Great for hair and skin, similar to Tea Tree

- Supports healthy digestive system

- Supports healthy immune system

- Supports healthy respiratory function

- Soothes nervous system

- Great for cleaning in the home, countertops etc and diffusing to purify the air

- Add to your cooking for a delicious citrus hit

I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am for this Kid's Collection. My son has certain oils he asks for every day and is beginning to intuitively know what he needs. However, these 6 oils are heavily diluted and blend the perfect kid-friendly oils for your precious babes. They come with flash cards so that their caregivers can read what each blend does and how to use it. They come in this gorgeous little bag and each oil has a fun clip that attaches to it with a silicone lid so if there's a particular oil or 2 your little one needs, they can attach it to their backpack for day!

What I love the most about these 6 oils is that my little guy will be able to tell me how he's feeling each day and we can choose the oil that will support him best. I love that I'm empowering him to be able to know how to support himself in time.

Here's more on each of the 6 kiddy blends:

Calmer: Restful blend
Helps your child relax and promotes sleep. A soothing blend of Roman Chamomile, Lavender, Ylang Ylang, Buddha Wood, and Fractionated Coconut Oil.

Thinker: Focus blend
Helps prevent mental distraction and reduce feelings of mental stress and fatigue. This energising blend helps promote alertness with a combination of Vetiver, Peppermint, Rosemary, and Clementine essential oils with Fractionated Coconut Oil.

Brave: Courage blend
Helps manage stress and feelings of anxiousness, counteract self-doubt, pessimism, and cynicism. A courageous blend of Wild Orange, Osmanthus, Cinnamon, and Amyris Wood essential oils for your brave little ones with Fractionated Coconut Oil. Promotes confidence, courage, and belief in oneself.

Strong: Protective blend
Promotes natural immune defence and soothes both emotions and skin during times of distress. This blend is an immune-boosting combination of Frankincense, Cedarwood, Rose, and Litsea essential oils combined with Fractionated Coconut Oil. Strengthens mind and body.

Rescuer: Soothing blend
Reduces feelings of tension in the neck and shoulders. This soothing blend can help your child unwind and relax after a very busy day. A melody of Lavender, Spearmint, Copaiba, and Tomar seed essential oils with Fractionated Coconut Oil.

Steady: Grounding blend
Helps balance mood and soothe upset feelings when emotions are running high. We know, as parents, when our little ones are more sensitive and need a hug, a nap, or more one-on-one time. This blend of Amyris Wood, Balsam Fir, Coriander, and Magnolia essential oils, topped with Fractionated Coconut Oil, will help them feel more calm and balanced.

More info on the Kids Collection here.

Copaiba essential oil has all the benefits of cannabinoids without the THC. It's been such a popular oil for people taking internally that doTERRA have now brought it out in a softgel capsule form (carrageenan free).

Copaiba softgels can be taken each day to support you in all of these areas:

- Support cellular health with its powerful antioxidants

- Soothes and calms the nervous system

- Supports lung health and the respiratory system

- Supports the cardiovascular system

(take one soft gel as needed for any of the internal benefits you desire)

More on Copaiba Softgels here.

Given the number of lymph nodes in your pits, it makes sense to use natural deodorant. Yeah, I hear ya, some really don't work. I've found a couple of brands I love but now that doTERRA have released one that actually works and has the added benefit of smelling like Balance grounding blend, which I wear often anyway, I'm stoked!

Many "natural" brands can often appear great but are owned by larger companies that may not source ethically etc. So I now have peace of mind being able to get it from doTERRA who I know always source ethically, pay fair wages, and are completely transparent in their pure ingredients and sourcing practices.

There's no nasties in this deodorant that you often find in mainstream ones like aluminium, parabens, phthalates, and talc.

Read more on Balance Deodorant here.

Safe and gentle with no alcohol, this mouth wash is safe even for kids as young as 12. Plus without the alcohol which dries out your mouth, your saliva can do what it needs to.

Use it on a daily basis along with brushing and flossing to fight plaque and maintain clean teeth and a healthy pH. The Miswak extract in the ingredients specifically helps reduce excessive plaque buildup.

Key ingredients:

- Essential Oils: Wild Orange, Clove, Cinnamon Bark, Eucalyptus, and Rosemary.

- Miswak Extract: a teeth-cleaning twig traditionally used before toothbrushes were invented. Helps control the formation of plaque.

- Xylitol: maintains healthy and strong teeth.

Read more about the mouthwash here.

"Beautiful" essential oil blend was a limited edition oil that doTERRA put out last Christmas. I'm so in love with it that I've been trying not to use it too much because I don't want it to run out! Now we have a luxe hydrating body mist infused with the "Beautiful" blend!

Think citrus and florals together. So fresh. Osmanthus, Lime, Bergamot and Frankincense are in this wonderfully calming oil blend, "Beautiful."

Now you can have that dewy, glowing skin all over with the benefit of a gorgeous pure scent without the nasties that come with most fragrances and body creams. Suer hydrating and nourishing for skin.

An added benefit is the 360 degree applicator so it will still work when you have it upside down.

Read more here.

Yarrow | Pom is titled so because the Yarrow has been blended with cold pressed Pomegranate seed oil. You can see it's main benefits in the pic above.

A deep blue oil, similar to Blue Tansy but with more chamazulene, it is now going to be part of my nightly skin routine to promote a glowing complexion.

This blend naturally up-regulates the body's protective transcription factors while activating skin-protecting proteins (inhibiting the enzymes that breakdown elasticity and collagen) with the added benefit of promoting collagen production.

Supports cellular, immune, and nervous system function and rejuvenation with its main constituents being punicic acid, antioxidants, beta-caryophyllene, and chamazulene.

~

This is a basic summary of the new products. I'm eagerly awaiting my delivery and will definitely be jumping on Facebook live to show you all as soon as they arrive.

Please note that I always advocate diluting any essential oil that you use topically with a carrier oil. Message me for more info on ratios if you need. It's a good idea to always patch test your skin first to ensure no sensitivities. And I always use a less is more approach.

If you'd like to get started with pure essential oils, I would love to guide you in your journey. You can find out more here.

Emotions & Essential Oils

Thought essential oils were just pretty smells? Or maybe you know how great they are for lowering your household toxic load. Natural solutions for basic first aid, cleaning, and beauty. Did you know how powerful they are at supporting us in shifting our emotions? For me when I first got my oils, I wasn't so sure about that side. I hadn't read up on the science of it all yet. However, once I witnessed their powerful effects on my own emotions and mood as well as my three year old's, I was hooked!

The Basic Science

When we inhale an essential oil, the scent is processed through the brain's olfactory system, which is our sensory system that controls our sense of smell.

The olfactory system is connected to limbic system, which is the area of our brain where our memories and emotions are stored.

Our limbic system then produces a response to the essential oil based on our memories associated with that particular smell, flooding our body with a rush of feelings.

In this way, essential oils can produce responses that can be used to enhance our wellbeing and emotions. High vibe livin' my Soulful Ones!

Calming & Uplifting

In general, most essential oils can be classified as either calming oils or uplifting oils.

In the calming category we have your florals which are typically composed of monoterpene alcohols, known for their calming properties. In the calming category we also have tree, grass and herb oils, which are typically composed of sesquiterpenes, esters, and oxides, providing feelings of deep grounding and soothing anxious emotions.

In the uplifting category we have mint essential oils, which contain high concentrations of ketones. Very energising and uplifting. The citrus oils, containing limonene, beta-pinene, and monoterpenes, are extremely uplifting and energising. Spicy essential oils can also be very warming and uplifting due to their phenols.

Emotional Aromatherapy Blends

I use a range of oils for calming and energising, for focus and concentration, for inspiration and creativity, for comfort. However, I have to point out doTERRA's Emotional Aromatherapy oils and also their Mood Management oils. Takes the guess work out of it all! Grab a blend, ready to go for whatever you personally need right there and then. These oil blends have been purposely designed to achieve a unique chemical profile. These oils blend specific plant categories (florals, trees, herbs, grasses, mints, citruses, and spices for example) to elicit certain emotional responses.

Here's a breakdown of these oils and what I love them for:

- Cheer:

I couldn't think of a better name for this oil. Serious happy in a bottle! When I'm feeling really down and I know that if I could meditate and get really present I'd feel better but just can't bring myself to do those things.... Cheer. I roll this baby on my pulse points and in the palms of my hands, rub them together and inhale. This oil shifts me into a sage where I can do those things that I know will help me every time.

Contains wild orange, clove, star anise, lemon myrtle, nutmeg, vanilla, ginger, cinnamon, and zdravetz.

- Motivate:

When I get to work in the morning I immediately roll Motivate on my pulse points and the back of my neck. The fresh citrus, minty scent gives me an instant pep in my step and everyone comments on it constantly. I use it again after lunch if I feel my concentration lacking.

A blend of peppermint, clementine, coriander, basil, yuzu, melissa, rosemary leaf, and vanilla bean.

- Peace:

The name says it all. If I'm feeling anxious, panicked, overwhelmed, or like I'm all up in my head, Peace reassuring blend brings me back down every time. So calming. Gorgeous for sleep too. I often roll this on my 3 year old's spine and feet (if I can catch him) when he's feeling huge emotions too.

This blend is a calming melody of vetiver, lavender, ylang ylang, frankincense, marjoram, clary sage, labdanum, spearmint.

- Passion:

This inspiring blend is so sexy and spicy. I looove this as my purefume of an evening. But it's also my go to when I need inspiration and a real sense of passion for whatever I'm working on. Procrastination be gone!

The gorgeous spicy blends in Passion are cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, clove, sandalwood, jasmine, vanilla, damiana, and some fractionated coconut oil.

- Console:

Pure comfort in a bottle. Beautiful for support during times of grief. If I'm feeling distressed for any reason, I love diffusing this blend or wearing over my heart and on my pulse points. I particularly love this for my 3 year old. Actually when he was younger I would put this on him before daycare because he had days where he'd just scream when I dropped him off. Then I'd leave and sniff it myself.

Console's a big warm hug in a bottle with oils like frankincense, patchouli, ylang ylang, labdanum, amyris, sandalwood, rose, and osmanthus.

- Forgive:

Whether we like to admit it or not, we all have moments where we simply need to forgive. Both others and ourselves. I know I want to live a high vibe life, but how can I do that if I'm holding onto feelings like anger, betrayal, guilt, and negativity? They're just like big, giant energetic blocks, stopping me from living the life I want. Enter Forgive renewing blend. Forgive, let go, and move on. I'll just take the cap off and whiff when I need it or wear it over my heart and on my pulse points.

This renewing blend contains spruce, bergamot, juniper berry, myrrh, arborvitae, nootka tree, thyme, citronella.

Mood Management Blends

There are 4 blends in the Mood Management collection and I use 3 of these constantly! These are my little faves.

- Lavender Peace:

Also known as Serenity in the US & Canada. We have this restful blend in the diffuser every single night. It works better than straight lavender for my 3 year old wildling. I also make up a roller bottle of this blend with a little extra vetiver and cedarwood for calming my little guy's big emotions and meltdowns. I roll it on his spine and massage it into his feet (if I can!) This blend is also gorgeous diluted in the bath.

This soothing, restful blend is a mix of lavender, cedarwood, ho wood, ylang ylang, marjoram, Roman chamomile, vetiver, vanilla bean, and Hawaiian sandalwood.

- Balance:

doTERRA's grounding blend is my mama go-to for keeping me present and centred in my physical body. I swipe it on my feet before yoga for grounding, I swipe it on my feet for hormone balancing, I diffuse it during the day with frankincense to calm the farm at home ;-) or I diffuse it with citrus bliss for grounding yet uplifting our mood. I often aromatically dress my body with balance and frankincense if I know I have a big day ahead of me by mixing with coconut oil.

Balance transports me to a forest with oils like spruce, ho wood, frankincense, blue tansy, blue chamomile, and osmanthus, with fractionated coconut oil.

- Citrus Bliss:

Energising uplifting, invigorating, and helps me invoke a sense of creativity and abundance. If I need a little mood boost, I diffuse this. I often diffuse it with Balance blend to keep the vibes at home balanced and grounded, yet cheery and vibrant. Especially if Master 3 is on the grumpy side, this seems to cheer his spirits. This blend receives so many comments when I diffuse or wear it. It's my oil of choice almost every time I teach an oils class.

The invigorating oils blended into Citrus Bliss are wild orange, lemon, grapefruit, mandarin, bergamot, tangerine, clementine, and vanilla bean. It's just... yum!

- Elevation:

doTERRA's joyful blend smells soft and buttery to me, even though it contains citruses. When I'm in serious need of mood elevation, this is what I pick. I also love it for meditation as it contains oils that are gorgeous for supporting the higher chakras. Elevation softly energises, instils confidence, and a positive mindset. Drives away those lower, negative vibes.

10 Benefits of Diffusing Essential Oils

One of my favourite ways to use essential oils in our home is by diffusing them. Did you know that our sense of smell is one of our most powerful senses? Our bodies contain over 1000 receptors for smell which is more than the amount of receptors for any of our other senses. By diffusing essential oils into the air, we breathe them in and can then experience powerful shifts in our mood and emotions, not mention purifying our air and other uses which I'll delve into below.

Best Way to Diffuse?

As beautiful as some oil burners can be, and yes, they deliver pretty smells, the heat actually alters the chemistry of the essential oil so you may not really be getting the benefits. Utlrasonic diffusers are excellent because they use cold water to disperse the essential oils into the air. Another good option is nebulising (cold air) diffusion.

Benefits of Diffusing

1. Sleep

We use oils every night for sleep. To wind down and then to have a deep sleep, because honestly, some nights I actually feel like that "Go the Fuck to Sleep" book was written specifically for me ;-) Oils like lavender, vetiver, cedarwood, frankincense, roman chamomile, are all beautifully calming. As we sleep and breathe in the aromatic compounds, they enter our limbic system, and aid in the release of seratonin and dopamine.

2. Purifies the Air

There are many essential oils with antibacterial, antiviral properties. I love to diffuse these kinda oils after a spring clean, when any of us are sick, or really just in winter when the house has been closed up too much. Don't want anything funky in our air. These would be oils like tea tree, oregano, lemon, "on guard" protective blend, purify blend, clove, rosemary, cinnamon, eucalyptus.

3. Elevates Mood

I've personally witnessed powerful shifts in mood and emotion for me through diffusing oils in my home. When we smell the oils, they are processed through the brain's olfactory system (controls our sense of smell) which is connected to our limbic system (the area of our brain where our memories and emotions are stored). The limbic system then produces a distinct response to the aroma based on memories that are associated with a particular smell. This then leads to a rush of feelings. In this way essential oils can produce responses that can be used to enhance our wellbeing and manage our emotions. The citrus oils are favourites for elevating mood. They're like little. bottles of pure happy. I love blends like Citrus Bliss, Cheer, and Elevation. Other oils are beautifully calming like lavender, vetiver, frankincense, bergamot and the other sleepy time ones I mentioned above. Then there are oils for energising, for invoking a sense of passion and creativity, supporting us in times of deep grief and despair.... I personally love doTERRA's emotional blends for this. Click the graphic below to see how simple it is to choose a blend based on what you need in any given moment.

3. Stress & Anxiety

As above with mood management, diffusing the oils is obviously fantastic for a good dose of Calm the F Down! For me, I love to diffuse Frankincense & Balance when I feel overwhelmed, scattered, and need some centring and grounding. This is a gorgeous blend for keeping my 3 year old balanced too. If we have a serious meltdown on our hands, I love lavender peace, vetiver and cedarwood for my little guy or Peace blend.  Neroli is lovely too. There's a huge list of essential oils that are wonderful for stress and anxiety.

4. Supports our Respiratory System

Coughs, colds, flus, allergies, sinus/chest infections, our diffusing is pumping right away with On Guard protective blend, oregano, frankincense, lemon and tea tree for immune support. Easy Air blend to open the airways if we need it, especially at night with our lavender for sleep. If it's just allergies, I personally love eucalyptus and frankincense for me.

5. Focus & Concentration

Lemon is the oil of focus! Great for school age kids needing help with concentration. I love peppermint and wild orange personally. Frankincense, sandalwood & lime are all great for clarity of mind, rosemary for memory, basil for combating mental fatigue. Diffuse in the room as you're working, studying, learning or doing homework.

6. Waking Up & Energising

Peppermint wake me every time! Peppermint and wild orange is beautiful to awaken the senses first thing in the morning or when that 3pm slump hits and you're thinking of grabbing for that 3rd coffee. Essential oils will save your money and your adrenals here ;-) Peppermint is amazing right before exercise too! Citruses are super energising. I know lots of my mamas in labour have diffused wild orange or citrus bliss during labour for energy (as well as some lavender for calming).

7. Headache Relief

My fave diffuser blend for tension headaches is 2 drops lavender, 2 drops frankincense & 2 drops peppermint. Or adjust amounts depending on the size of your room. I always say less is more. Start with less and add more if needed.

8. Keeping Mosquitoes at Bay

Geranium, cedarwood, and peppermint are all excellent oils for repelling mozzies. DoTERRA's "TerraArmour" blend is designed specifically for this and comes in both an oil for diffusing as well as a spray for the skin. So if you're entertaining outdoors at home and can plug your diffuser in somewhere, diffusing is a fantastic way to repel mozzies and keep your guests content.

9. Curbing Sugar Cravings

Grapefruit, cinnamon, bergamot, black pepper and doTERRA's Smart & Sassy blend are all excellent for this. Diffuse at home when you think you'll keep reaching for sugar unnecessarily throughout the day. Grapefruit & Bergamot are particularly wonderful for promoting body love & self love. Black Pepper is amazing for supporting us in times of any type of addiction.

10. Creating Beautiful Aromas

Ditch the candles loves! Even if they're natural, they likely contain synthetic scents. After detoxing from all those chemicals in your home, trust me, you reeeeally notice those pungent faux scents and they'll likely give you a headache. You can create yourself a signature aroma with your essential oils or create something different every single day! You could honestly create something different every day and never repeat the same blend if you didn't want to, there's that many options. After a while you begin to choose your oils intuitively each day depending on how you feel. Doing this with your children is so beautiful. Always supervised of course!

I'd love to hear from you what your favourite diffuser blends are. Comment below.

Top Essential Oils to Support Your Moon Time

For some time now I've been learning to live in harmony with my moon-time. For as long as I can remember I've had extremely heavy and very painful cramps that accompany my monthly bleed. I always dreaded this time each month.

How did I shift this?

I began using essential oils to help with the pain and other symptoms. Once I wasn't in so much pain I  was able to shift my mindset as well. I read Dr Ezzie Spencer's book "Lunar Abundance" and began tuning into the energy of my body in relation to the moon phases. I began to see how much more powerful it was to honour this sacred feminine time instead of wishing it would go away.

During this time, we are highly intuitive. We are also emotionally shedding a lot of toxic build-up. So I like to take this time to slow down, honour my body, give myself as much love as possible and really tune into those spiritual downloads that may be coming through at this time.

Here are my top Essential Oils for supporting my moon-time...

1. Clary Calm
This magical blend is my absolute number one oil for my moon time. Rolling this on my lower abdomen at the first sign of cramping has personally kept me from ever needing to reach for pain killers again. Not only great for menstrual cramps but also for balancing our hormones and our emotions. Wonderful for post-baby balancing.

A beautiful blend of Clary Sage, Lavender, Bergamot, Roman Chamomile, Ylang Ylang, Cedarwood, Geranium, Fennel Seed, Carrot Seed, Palmarosa, and Vitex leaf/berry (known for helping us cycle with the moon).

Clary Sage on its own is also a wonderful oil to use for menstrual cramping. I just personally love the Clary Calm blend for all the other supportive oils and herbs in it.

2. Ice Blue Rub
If you get lower back pain accompanying your menstrual cramps, then the Ice Blue Rub is for you. (Known as Deep Blue in the USA). Ice Blue comes as an oil which you can dilute and massage into your lower back but I tend to quickly reach for the rub version which is simply a cream version that you can rub straight on. You only need a pea sized amount.

So instead of buying over-the-counter synthetic rubs and creams for your aches and pains that give you that cooling / warming feeling, this doTERRA blend is a completely natural version. It contains an essential oil a blend of Wintergeen, Camphor, Peppermint, Ylang Ylang, Helichrysum, Blue Tansy, Blue Chamomile, and Osmanthus.

3. Cypress
Cypress oil improves circulation and can support menstrual cramps. I would dilute this and apply to the lower abdomen with the Clary Calm or Clary Sage for a little extra support if needed.

4. Ylang Ylang
I love to wear Ylang Ylang as a purefume during my moon time because it's a deeply feminine scent. It also helps to reduce stress and tension. If your body is feeling really tight and contracted, apply some diluted Ylang Ylang and lavender to the back of the neck and also the lower abdomen if not using Clary Calm or Cypress there already.

5. Geranium
Another hormone balancing oil. Also deeply feminine, so I will often wear this as a purefume during my moon time. I tend to alternate between Geranium & Ylang Ylang. Geranium also happens to be amazing for skin and hair so I feel like I'm really giving my body some lovin' by aromatically dressing myself in Geranium during this time. Geranium is also a stress relieving oil and very anti-inflammatory.

6. Lavender
As with Ylang Ylang, Lavender is a wonderful calming and tension-relieving oil. Lady Lav will help ease your contracted muscles, soothe any heightened moods, and support a restful night's sleep. Beautiful for headaches too. Apply diluted with Ylang Ylang to the back of the neck and/or lower abdomen or apply to temples for a headache (be super careful not to get in your eyes!)

7. Rose
Helps to stimulate proper hormone levels and can support regulating your cycle. Rose supports goos uterine health. Very calming, supporting cramping pain, heightened emotions, and PMS symptoms. I wear Rose as a purefume constantly - moon time or not! Rose is the highest vibrational oil on the planet. Feels so special to wear her, she gives you that Goddess vibe ;-)

8. Balance - grounding blend
The name says it all, Balance grounding blend is the perfect blend for keeping emotionally stable and present. I love diffusing this in our home and in the car during the day to keep us all grounded. For me, I love to wear Balance with Frankincense on my body if I'm feeling anxious, stressed or irritable.

9. Whisper - blend for women
Ohhh this absolutely divine women's blend is a feminine mix of Bergamot, Ylang Ylang, Patchouli, Vanilla Bean, Jasmine, Cinnamon, Labdanum, Vetiver, Hawaiian Sandalwood, Cocoa Seed, and Rose essential oils with Fractionated coconut oil. If you want to feel like a true Goddess, then definitely wear this oil. Love up your body by aromatically dressing with this oil after your shower. This blend has the added benefit in that it combines with your chemistry to give off a unique scent.

A few others you may love...

Peppermint & Wild Orange for energy & focus
Peace blend is another great oil for some zen time
PastTense blend for neck tension & headaches
Tea Tree on your hormonal pimples
Frankincense may help support breast tenderness

Lavender & Geranium Bath Bombs

February, the month of love! If you're crying out "no way!" then maybe spare a thought for yourself. The main relationship we should all be nurturing is the one with ourself. I dare you to do a beautiful act of self-love each day this month. I'm willing to bet it'll change your life. This month I'll be sharing all sorts of self-love ideas over on my Facebook page. In my last post on prioritising self-care, I shared my top 10 ways to bring more self-care rituals into your life. Take a peek if you need a little inspiration.

Today I'm simply sharing my favourite bath bomb recipe. It's so easy, and my 3 year old is obsessed with bath bombs so we make them together often. As you can see from the photo, he's also skeleton obsessed and looooves the movie "Coco." So please, make yours love hearts or whatever floats your boat, we used a silicone mould of skulls and cross-bones ;-) You can also use any essential oils that you feel drawn to. I like lavender and geranium as they're super calming for my little guy before bed time and help wind him down plus they're gentle and calming for the skin. They smell divine too - bonus!

We got our recipe from Dr. Axe, but modified it a bit. We left out the witch hazel & corn flour as I didn't have any and they worked perfectly. I used Epsom salts instead of sea salt. I also used only liquid coconut oil in our recipe as that's what we always use at home. My mixture looked tad dry which was probably because I left out the witch hazel, so I simply added a little more coconut oil to make the mixture a little more like wet sand. Voila!

Our recipe...

Lavender & Geranium Bath Bombs

Ingredients:
1 cup baking soda
1/2 cup citric acid
1 tsp cream of tartar
1/2 cup epsom salts
1 tsp beetroot powder
Liquid coconut oil
(enough coconut oil to make mixture wet enough to mould with hands)
Lavender Essential Oil
Geranium Essential Oil

Directions:
Mix dry ingredients in a bowl.
Mix wet ingredients in a separate bowl.
Combine wet and dry together in one bowl.
Pack into your chosen moulds or simply roll into small balls.
Pop moulds into a dark cupboard and allow to dry for 1 - 2 days.
Store in an air tight container for up to 3 weeks.

Note: I only used 2 drops of each essential oil (so 4 drops total) as I'm a believer in the less is always more approach. These are for my 3 year old and essential oils are potent. If making for an adult you can use more. Using just this small amount is extremely fragrant already so I don't feel you'd need much more. However, I use doTERRA essential oils which are 100% pure certified therapeutic grade so I know there are no nasties in them and they are potent and pure, high quality.

If you'd like to know how to bring these powerful plant magicians into your life, see below. I'm also hosting Facebook classes this month on "Emotions & Essential Oils" and also "Pregnancy, Birth & Beyond" so please contact me if you're interested in these classes and are not already using the oils or talking to someone else about them.
