Princess & the Pea

I've been having sleepless nights lately & I'm just not sure why... sometimes lying awake until 5am without so much as a wink! I never used to be like this, I was always a good sleeper. I'm pretty sure over the weekend that I looked just like the Princess & the Pea above. In fact I probably still look like that!!

Now to figure out what my "pea" is that's keeping me from my beauty sleep...

A Honeymoon in Greece

Spring is finally here in Sydney, the weather is warm, the sun is shining... which got me thinking about sunny holidays. I started reminiscing over photos of past holidays and decided to share my photos of beautiful Greece. My honeymoon was in 2007 and we spent a week in Paris and then 3 weeks in Greece. I have already shared my Paris photos here.

A Whimsical Alice in Wonderland Tea Party

Isn't this 4 year old birthday tea party just fanciful? Dann found it over at Imprintables and sent it to me. I couldn't help but share, it's just delightful!

How stunning is that mirror?

I wonder how they did the chairs? They look great and the kids could colour on them!

August: Osage County

Yesterday I saw Steppenwolf Theatre's extraordinary production of "August: Osage County" at Sydney Theatre Company. I was left speechless. What an outstanding cast! What an outstanding play! Written by Tracy Letts, it was said to be in the tradition of Eugene O’Neill, Tennessee Williams and Arthur Miller, so I knew right away that I was going to like it but.... wow! Each performance was mind blowing and the set... just look at it...

This photo just doesn't do it justice. Every time I sat down (there were 2 intermissions as it's 3 hours & 15 minutes long) I was mesmerised by this three story Southern country house and every little piece of furniture or prop within it. The sound was perfect too, so chilling in parts.

For such a dark play, it was so funny at the same time that I simply did not notice how long the production was and I didn't want it to end. I cried, I laughed. The performances were so amazing that I felt so invested in many of the characters. It's very easy to see why this is a Pulitzer Prize-winning play.

If you live in Sydney or anywhere that this production is coming to, I suggest you go see it. Highly recommended. If I'm ever in Chicago, I'll definitely be heading to the Steppenwolf Theatre to see some brilliant theatre.

Collette Dinnigan's Home

Iconic Australian fashion designer, Collette Dinnigan, is selling her 1880's restored sandstone home in Paddington, Sydney. I believe this is my dream home...

Look at this kitchen opening out to the pool area...sigh....

The chandeleir, the table, those chairs, the little French doors... all perfect!

Just because...

Image from here

I keep seeing this advertisement for Domayne and I just love this image so much that I had to share. I wish this was a room in my home. Except perhaps with the lounge the correct way up :-)

Nearly the weekend!
